Why Infrared?

Opening any business requires decisions to be made. A Hot Fitness studio has it's share of unique choices and considerations. What kind of floor is best for Hot Fitness and which heating system to choose were the 2 most important ones. I am more than happy with our heat!! Not only are they aesthetically pleasing to look at, the heat they produce is exactly what I had hoped for. The heat lamps heat objects around you and in the room-including you. From there, a deep, relaxed sweat is induced, providing all of the benefits of a traditional sauna (and more) at a lower, safer temperature. Infrared heat waves penetrate the skin more effectively than steam saunas, allowing you to experience a much more intense sweat at a lower temperature without heating the surrounding air. This means, there is no dust blowing with forced heated air and no allergens/bacteria.
Infrared heat works to raise core body temperature, heart rate and improves metabolism. The heat waves dilate the muscles, work to burn calories, improve circulation, and enhance body detoxification. As we know, exercise in general can provide a plethora of benefits to both your physical and mental health.
Here are some benefits I discovered when researching our heating system:
Supports heart health
Improves sleep
Increases calorie burn
Lowers blood pressure
Increases circulation
Stress reduction
Pain relief
Skin purification
Muscle recovery
Cellulite reduction
If you are new to the heated workouts, take your time and as many breaks as you need. Stay hydrated and at Fenix we like to say listen to your body, it talks to you!
